How do you deal with brain fog?

From my experience of brain fog, there has been one effort that has reduced it by a fair margin. That has been "mindfulness meditation." If anyone wants the one i use then let me know and ill link it. I would describe it as a massage for the brain. Also only takes 10 mins! I use it as...

    Is poker "gambling" or "investing"?

Technically poker is gambling, yes. But once you are educated on how to make money within this game, then it can become an investment. You are investing in your ability to understand situations, and to critically analyse every situation you find yourself in.

Should you ever play poker while "under the influence"?

I think it depends on the context. So for most players who play casually, drinking doesnt matter, since your aim isnt to maximize how much you can win. For anybody who is actively trying to win, then for most part, you shouldnt play under the influence. The game is one of the most complex...

Should casinos ban phones at the table entirely?

I think in most scenarios phones should be banned as they are already(streamers, first timers etc should get more leeway). Rules are there for a reason. Stops any potential collusion as well.

Can you turn professional poker player through playing home games?

There is a semi famous pro that plays home games at a very high percentage, almost 100%. His name is MJ Gonzalez. He was the guy that coached Daniel Negreanu to play the heads up game vs Doug Polk.

Is it safe to play online internet poker?

Yer, if you can make sure it's regulated. Its kind of like going to an underground game. Once its not regulated you are at the mercy of the site. So do your research boys and girls 👍🏻

is Poker Popular in Your Country?

Is that the US? Weird how they let you gamble, but only what they say... Usually its a tax thing. If they can tax it they'll provide it :(

How much money do I start with in poker?

Scorpion is on the money here. If you're talking about pros(since if its recreational it's just for fun) then 20/25 buy ins for cash live is the minimum, closer to 35/50 if you want to be safe and not move down. As for online cash it's 100 buy ins. Mtts are higher variance. Live you want 50 buy...

Do You Use Poker Tracking Software for Improvement?

I think that without using poker tracking software you are already behind. Not only for the reasons mentioned above, but also for accountability. Its like an accountancy program. That's without other reasons as well. Multi tabling, perfecting methods of study etc. Makes a very big difference...

is Poker Popular in Your Country?

It's somewhat popular in England. I went to University(College for most of you) and joined a poker society on campus, with a cash buy in tournament too! Also a fair amount of people in England know the rules, and have come across it some during thier life. Lastly(so far at least 🤞🏻) we haven't...

Always learn when you play poker

Agree 100%. Looking for leaks is a great trait! I would add as a caveat that being able to prioritize which order to learn those in is how you study as efficiently as possible.

What are common mistakes you often notice by new or inexperienced players?

The most common mistake I see(I see a lot as a poker coach) is a lack of consistent structure. Most players haven't worked enough on their own game, and want to do fancy things straight away.

Does losing days mess with your confidence?

Psychology is a much bigger part of the game than most give credit for. Being a Professional and coach for years now, I decided to write an article which touches upon this area. Here is the link - http://themachine1984.blogspot.com/2011/11/losing-is-actually-winning.html Very in depth subject...
