I'm all for helping the poker community improve. I love seeing PCF crush the felts! It motivates me when I see our players winning, and I think it's cool to see our members having success grinding away at poker.

I keep certain tactics to myself, but for the most part. I'm an open book. I've even given pointers/advice to some members when playing our home games.

Do you like to share all your tricks or do you keep certain poker strategies to yourself?

I am not a pro poker player with vast knowledge and skills. I am always willing to help the new entrants to poker settle in with basics they would need. But you don't expect me to share my specific bluffing patterns. I hold on to those as my edge against opponents.

I share basic strategy with friends who are learning, but I keep my advanced reads and specific exploits to myself. It's like giving away your edge if you teach everyone exactly how you play. I'll help beginners with fundamentals, but my profitable strategies stay private.

Am still learning. I can't say for now i have any strategy worth sharing with other poker players. When i become proficient, i don't think I will be sharing my strategies with anybody because tomorrow i may be facing one of my dudes in the game. Top strategies is for me and me alone.

ive played a long time and pretty open with talking poker strategy, you can lead a horse to water but you cant make them drink. ive helped a few players over the years but the thing is, i have soo much "useless" knowledge i take for granted that if the right questions are asked ill give you the gold but whether we interpret the same is another thing. its all good learning a new skill but trying to get it to fit your overall gametree can be difficult, most get discouraged cos when you learn new stuff most of the time a wee downswing will follow while you try to fit new things in and most give up. most want short term gratification and not the longterm grind.

Honestly, I share some but in poker this time. I don't share everything 😂. I’ve spent years studying and losing money to learn certain lessons. I once taught a friend one trick, and next week he used it against me. Since then I just shared general tips, not my full playbook.

I'm not a pro yet but I will always share the ones that can help others to win. I like seeing people do well, it pushes everyone to get better. I share most of what I know but I won’t lie, there are a few things I keep to myself. Some little reads or spots I use in tough moments. Helping people is good, but every player still needs their own edge at the table.
