I realized that i don't have the stamina and what it takes to be a professional poker player is when i experienced a losing streak which lasted for more than three hours! I could not be able to withstand the long hours of grinding, i have to call it a day!
When do you realized that playing poker for livelihood is not for you?

I’ll only be able to play poker for a living when I become a Pro. If you haven't learnt the ins and out of the game, you shouldnt try to make it source of income because you might be disappointed.

It's very hard to play poker for a living. If you need to work to pay the bills, you're not ready.

I win more than I lose, and I'm happy with that. I do want to level up, and move onto bigger games. However, I don't expect to be playing poker as my full-time job.

I don't play poker to make money let alone playing for money. I enjoy playing poker but I only play for fun. If I can make some money, that would be sweet. I have no desire to play for living, it is really difficult as you are not always on winning side.

I know for a fact that it's never going to possible for me to depend on playing poker as a mean of survival. It's the worst decision anyone can take who's not already financially stable.

At the moment, I am not playing poker for a living because I've not gotten to the level where playing it can be sustainable for me. I mean deciding to depend fully on playing poker for a living means that I am ready to turn pro which I ain't financially ready to do right now.

It's just like someone saying they want to choose playing sports betting as a full time job. Don't get me wrong, I know some people do it because I know a lot jobless persons whom have been rendered useless as a result of gambling.

I realized poker wasn't for me pretty early on when I understood how much mental discipline and emotional control it requires. The thought of dealing with huge swings, losing streaks, and the constant pressure of needing to win just to pay bills sounds incredibly stressful.

When there's no guarantee of winning all the time, it's more than enough to discourage someone who's not at a pro level in choosing playing poker as a full time job because that's what it means to play poker for a living.
