Do you play your local lottery? How would you compare it to poker and other gambling games? Have you ever won anything at the lottery? How about poker? How would you compare the winnings?
i dont play the local lottery unless its like $20m+ which is big here in New Zealand and very rare, however i play alot of poker and beat the game at micro/low levels easily enough with skill/edge. you can learn to win poker but cant learn to win the lottery just buy a ticket and pray.
The lottery is a game of pure chance, one where you cannot learn to become good. Poker, on the other hand, is about skills and strategies and allows you to leverage that into profits .
Poker and the lottery are totally different kinds of games, each with particular dynamics. Poker is a game where skill, strategy, and decisions can make you gain an edge over your opponent. Lottery is a game where nothing can be done about skill and strategy to influence the outcome
Poker is 100x better than lottery. At least in poker, the probability of winning is high and within reasonable limit. Lottery is totally a game of luck. You have no control over the outcome of game. But in poker, you can win with sheer knowledge of the game.
I always feel that with the local lottery, the odds are 95% against you. For me, it is just like putting money in a thrash can to dispose. I know that poker has an element of skill that makes the better poker player more in control of things. I know that lottery pays big money for a win but the risks is just too much. I still prefer poker over lottery.
Playing lottery isn't the same thing as playing poker because all you're doing with lottery playing is wishing for luck to be on your side with the numbers picked. It's not like that with poker playing.
I haven't been into playing lottery, so there's no way I'm going to compare it with playing poker based on experience because I have none. Unless, I'm going to be talking based on what I heard other people said which I wouldn't want to.
What I know is that they are not the same. The lottery is all about hoping for the best when you play which is quite different from what we get with playing poker where your skill plays a big role in determining whether you win or lose.
