I read an article that points out that poker is not just a past time game. According to the writer, poker is a tool designed for developing emotional intelligence, risk assessment, emotional regulation, society acuity. Poker helps players to be better reader of human actions and also help develop more complex interaction mechanisms. He also said that poker players are more psychological adaptive to everyday life challenges than non players

Poker is an intelligent game where you get to master all kinds of emotions. If you are not a patient person, there are chances that you will end up struggling when you are playing poker and that's a fact. So, it is definitely more than a game for me.

Yeah, I think poker is way more than just a game. It teaches you so much about psychology, risk management, and reading people. The skills you learn like managing emotions, making decisions under pressure, and calculating odds actually help in real life situations too. It's like a crash course in human nature.

Poker is a game with risk/money involved, but it can also teach a lot of valuable life lessons. You'll learn how to set goals, achieve them, manage money, discipline, and more. For that reason, I think poker is more than just a game, but if you stop having fun while playing. Take a break!

There are very few games that help develop your thinking skills more than poker does. It also teaches patience, risk control, emotion control and strategic thinking. Moreover, it imitate real life experiences, especially when you have to make decisions very quickly.

These are the skills that one can improve by playing poker and that's what I like about playing. It also teaches one money management because it is by playing poker that one can look at how they act when money or winning is at stake.

From my relationship with seasoned poker players, I can boldly say that it is a truism that poker players have more emotional resilience than the average individual. Why won't they? Being on the poker table demands that one constantly has to name decisions under pressure. They lose and recover from losses. That's a recipe for emotional resilience.

Yes, playing poker is more than just a game because there are serious risks involved depending if you're playing cash poker. When there's money to be made and lost, it's not a kid's play.

If money is involved in the poker someone is playing, then it's more than just a game because they have something valuable to lose if they don't win. This is why I don't take my playing of poker lightly.

I have made a couple of friends just by playing poker. That means that it is truly more than a game to me. It is an experience that makes me happy even when I am on the losing end.
