I don't do beyond 100 big blinds when am buying-in. I always use $200 to buy in for games that are $1/$2 games. I have a daily stop loss to prevent me from becoming impulsive to tilt much. I don't move up stakes. I always stay at my current level.

Whenever I'm playing cash games, the thing is, I try to stick to the standard buy-in amount and that has allowed me to play comfortably without having to risk too much. The best tip is not to bring a maximum amount to the table and try to manage your bankroll carefully.

I like to play safe, and I always buy in for 50-75 BuyBacks as I start my first session. My daily session limit is always set at 3 buy-ins. With that, chances of me tilting are mitigated. I would be patient enough to be certain that I can beat the current stake for at least 100,000 hands. When I lose up to 5 buy-ins at my current stake, I certainly move down.

I'll sit down with 2/3 or 3/4 of the table max to start out.

I don’t always bring max. It really depends on mood and the table. If I’m just chilling or testing it, I bring something small. But if I’m serious and the players look soft, I can load up.

I have a set amount that is my maximum and my daily limit, when I either lose all of my daily limit or I feel that I have come to a point where it would be risky to keep playing, I will pull what I have won and call it a day and then start again with the same daily limit again the next time I play.
