Does wearing sunglasses hide your tells or just make you look like a target?

I remembered one tournament where one guy wore dark shades. People automatically assumed he was bluffing every hand. I don't know if it helped him or not. For me, I think If your body language is loud, glasses won’t save you. Confidence is serious business, not costume. Sometimes simple composure beats all the extra packaging.

Well, I have seen this in movies as well. Some people have used some specialized glasses to spy on others and cheat their opponent while playing the game. I am not sure if this could ever become a reality if they actually use some kind of special glasses.

I think sunglasses help some players feel more confident and less exposed, but they’re not some magic way to hide tells. At casual poker tables, they can honestly make you stand out more than blend in. Most good players pay more attention to betting patterns than eye contact anyway.
