I hear some people saying that choosing the right table is more important than improving technical play. Is “table selection” the most underrated edge in poker ? How do you decide whether to stay at a table or leave it mid-session?

Game selection is important, but it won't matter much if you're not giving your best effort regardless of the stakes. I think many players struggle with consistency, and it often starts with developing bad habits, such as not playing to win in every game. Building strong fundamentals and maintaining focus at all stakes are key to long-term success.

I think table selection is one of the biggest hidden skills in poker. Some players spend years studying strategy but refuse to leave terrible games. That's like opening a shop where nobody buys anything and calling it hard work.😂 Sometimes the smartest move is simply changing seats.

Game selection matters a lot because choosing softer tables can increase your long-term profits, even without improving your skills. Skill is still essential, but playing against weaker opponents often has a bigger impact than making small improvements in strategy.
