Some players clearly play scared money even with proper bankroll management. How much does fear influence your decisions?

I think fear of losing money can be one of the biggest leaks in poker. When you are afraid of losing money, you usually end up playing tight, miss value, and fold in profitable spots. There are also other problems such as players becoming reckless when they try to avoid fear instead of sticking to good decisions.

Fear is a silent bankroll killer. You may know the correct move and still avoid it because you're thinking about the money. That is not strategy, that's anxiety. I know people who fold winning spots simply because they don't want to see their balance go down. Once fear starts controlling your choices, you're no longer playing the cards. You're playing your worries, and worries rarely win.

Fear of losing money can be one of the biggest leaks in poker. It often leads to overly cautious decisions, missed value bets, and poor bluffs.
