It's friends and people who keep home games alive, it's not only about the cards. if everybody is respectful and could laugh at themselves after bad beats, people will keep coming back.

Good conversation, plenty of laughs, reasonable stakes, and a relaxed atmosphere keep everyone enjoying themselves. When players are having fun regardless of who wins, that's a successful home game.

it's a combination of good company, reasonable stakes, and a relaxed atmosphere. When everyone is laughing, chatting, and enjoying the game without taking every hand too seriously, the whole night becomes much more memorable.

Food, drinks and and light-hearted chats make my home game fun. I don't serve alcoholic drinks because I don't drink, I mostly serve soda or sherbets.
