I try not to overthink it. I make sure I'm in a good frame of mind, free from distractions, and ready to stay patient. If I'm tired, frustrated, or not focused, I'd rather skip the session than force myself to play.

I like to start with a clear head. If I'm feeling tired, stressed, or distracted, I'll usually wait until another time to play. Going into a session calm and focused gives me a much better chance of making good decisions.

i smoke weed to slow my thought process down, no weed no play for me LOL

I do not have any kind of routine before I start my game of poker. I play when I am in a cheerful mood, and when I am relaxed and want to have fun. I avoid playing when I am angry and frustrated

I can't just open tables immediately. My brain doesn't work like that at all. I normally relax a little check if the network is stable, clear all sorts of distractions then maybe listen to quiet music before playing.
