Do you need music when you play poker?

I often can’t play online poker without music playing in the background. The only exception is when I’m playing in home games that my friends stream on Twitch, but even their streams usually have music, just not the kind of music I normally listen to.

I think I need music when I play online poker. Listening to cool music help me focus and block out distractions from the outside. And sometimes when I play without music, my mind just keep wandering and I could make a costly mistake.

I have roommates, so I need music to drown out the background noise. It helps me lock in when I play online poker. I find it’s easier to get distracted online compared to playing live.
