A big bankroll to me would be 5-10K. With that said when I carry 1K or more I am super comfortable.

I never had that amount in my cashier from any poker sites I play on
Gotta spend money to make money brother. Also study your ass off. What's your free time like? You spnd even a fraction of that time working on your game and you will see your accounts grow.
I had $2000+ twice on poker sites. Full Tilt when I was only 14 using my moms name, and on ACR.
I cashed out $1200 from ACR, but I will never play on there again lol
I prefer an amount that insures swings and the ones enables one to play higher limits or endure a losing streak. $2000+ is enough money to build a strong bankroll.
well when i played online for a living now 8 years ago i would of said my bank roll was high bankroll at around 50k but also had 50k backup bankroll as weekdays i would be playing around 4k to 6k a day and on a sunday it would be close to 12k in tournaments but with this i was playing around 40 tournaments a day on 3 sites but now for stockpoker i would say 1k bankroll would be a big bankroll with the tournaments available to play
That's huge! For me, probably a big stake size for online poker can range between $2000 and $10000.
My "bankroll" I consider essentially to be the total amount I am willing to lose if necessary. Although Poker involves great skill, at it's core it still is gambling. It's entirely possible to have such a terrible run of luck that you wipe out your entire bankroll, no matter your poker skill. These things occasionally happen.
This being said, my bankroll is around about $2k. I never join tournaments with a buy-in more than $100. I never join straight-up tables with more than $200. Ever. Golden rule.
In my 10 years or so of playing poker, I'm in total profit of around $40k. I withdraw my winnings anytime I have more than $1,000 in my balance. My bankroll from about year 3 has always been $2k, and I've never altered it. What I mean by this, is if I were to ever reach the point where my running loss as such was $2k, I would pack poker in and thank the poker gods for the money I've made over the years.
By sticking to this strict bankroll system, poker has always been a hobby for me, never cost me money I couldn't afford, and always been a generally enjoyable experience. I hope it lasts for many years to come.
