When it's in excess of budget or it hurts relationships, that's the point when gambling should stop. Setting a specific amount or time frame would help a lot. Knowing when to walk away from the casinos is a priority as it minimizes losses and enables one to stay on top of the game.

I'd say the right time to stop gambling is when you can't afford to play anymore. If you've lost 10-30 times in a row, then it's clear that you shouldn't keep gambling.

I agree with the first point. However, if you lost 20-30 times in a row that happens a lot when gambling. Poker is a little different, because there is also skilled involved. If you lost 20-30 times in a row playing poker, it's time to reevaluate, and fix some leaks in your game.

If they’re playing slots or buying scratch-offs without winning, this definitely applies. I’ve seen plenty of people keep playing without ever hitting anything significant. At that point, they should consider a different approach instead of continuing to gamble on games with terrible odds.

I agree with you! Losing multiple times in a row is a clear indication that it's time to stop. Chasing losses can lead to debt and financial trouble. Knowing when to cut your losses and walk away is crucial.
