I'd say it was very worth it for me to learn how to play poker. It wasn't always smooth, but I've reached a level with my game where I can comfortably win more that I lose on a consistent basis. Poker can be very rewarding, or extremely painful.
Online poker has a poor history with sites shutting down, and scams. Poker sites that operate using Poker Mavens can be easily manipulated. Any admin/owner can login to the backend, and view hole cards for games running. I was chatting with a few of my poker buddies about this a little while...
The few chances I've had in bigger buy-ins didn't turn out in my favor. I like that xmas idea though ;)
Except the $1M GTD on ACR that got suspended after I already busted lol. It was the first ever $1M GTD they hosted, and they refunded all buy-ins including tickets.
It would be awesome if anyone from PCF or StockPoker made a deep run in either of these games. I will also keep my eye out for a few satellites, and hope for a god-like poker run.
I think there should be steps satellites to the games where you can win tickets to bigger satellites to qualify. It would boost the overall traffic in tournaments too.
I wonder if either game will surpass the prizepools, if there's no satellites I doubt I'll ever have the bankroll to take a shot.
@pukana It's harder to prevent cheaters on bigger sites, because there is more money involved. I haven't played GGPoker since Ontario got locked out from the main site.
Join us this Thursday when we stream the PCF Daily Grind at https://twitch.tv/demon77049 for a chance to win!
Three $8.80 tickets will be rewarded randomly in chat if you enter the draw/giveaway. Good luck all!
Do you mentally prepare before you start a long session on felts? How do you lock-in?
I always smoke before I play poker, and I like to wait until I have a urge to play. I get better results when I'm in a good mood, and I learned that over the years.
