It is an old picture, but Val Kilmer stole the show as the hard drinking, poker playing, gunslinger Doc Holliday in Tombstone (1993). Can't recommend enough for those who haven't seen it. After all, Doc said "... poker's an honest trade." :love:
Honestly, both. Different venues, different vibe, different focus — naturally. But I love the game. Well, that and other gaming (e.g., blackjack, roulette, et al.). But there ain't nothing like poker, just for fun or for the greenbacks.
No, not really. I know my father did some back in the day, but his game was baccarat. I don't remember my mother playing anything. My paternal grandmother used to hit the casinos a bit. This was a long time ago, so I don't remember is poker was one of her games.
