This is what intrigues me about Poker compared to say, blackjack for example. Because there is bluff as a key factor in the game, anything you can do to unnerve your opponent is a good strategy. Of course, keeping the personal insults to a minimum!
Well, we had our first poker night and I think I was still trying to pick up the basics of the game so I didn't do very well at all. We are restricting the money involved so that no one is going to suffer from a major loss. £10 per player maximum stake. I tried bluffing and things but I think...
I'm sure it helps! Like, basic counting, addition and subtraction but I wouldn't imagine degree-level math is going to give much of an advantage over high school math.
Blackjack is one the first card games I learned how to play as its quite easy to pick up. I haven't played for money before, though. It always seems to be more luck than anything else. At least with poker there is a degree of skill required.
Jake Paul is an idiot.
If he gets smashed he's smashed by a pensioner. If he wins, he's beat up a pensioner. Its a lose/lose - but man, what a paycheck!
Hey guys.
I'm Eudorus and I'm a complete Poker noob. I have never played Poker in my 46 and a bit years on earth. I was looking for someplace to learn some Poker skills as we're going to start a Poker Nights in my friend-group. This seemed like a good place to start my Poker journey. Thanks...
Just to note, I am 46 now. I have never played Poker but my friend group is about to start. Fortunately only one of the guys has any experience of playing. Its his idea to do this on a regular basis. I am just wondering if it is possible to learn to play or is it like a natural skill that some...
Isn't it all just part of the game? Designed to unsteady your opponent, break their concentration and prevent them from being able to bluff effectively? I have never played Poker before - that's why I am here - and I would not have any issue with using any and all tips/tricks and methods to get...
I've heard of bluffing and I think its a really interesting part of Poker. It makes the game more than just the chances of being dealt a good hand. Can you guys suggest how to successfully bluff? I appreciate it might be difficult to understand but I am keen to learn.
My friends are wanting to start regular poker nights. They think it will be a good way of getting us together as we don't see each other as often as we used to due to careers and families. I was too embarrassed to tell them that I have NEVER played Poker before. I don't even know how so I...
