The World Poker Tour has announced the 2026 WPT World Championship festival schedule, and this year’s series is getting bigger and longer.

The festival will run from November 27 through December 21, four days longer than last year, with more than 85 events and over $20 million in guaranteed prize pools.

The centerpiece is the $10,400 WPT World Championship, running December 13–20 with three starting flights. The event will also feature $1 million in additional mystery bounties, adding another interesting element to the tournament.

The $1,100 WPT Prime Championship will take place December 5–12 and comes with a $5 million guarantee, matching last year's guarantee. There's also a new $400 Super Gold Million event running December 10–14 with a $3 million guarantee.

One thing that stands out about this year's schedule is the variety of mixed-game tournaments. Players will have opportunities to compete in events such as HORSE, TORSE, Limit Omaha 8, Big O, PLO, PLO 6-Max and Mixed Triple Draw.

The schedule also appears to have a strong focus on mid-stakes players, with plenty of tournaments in the $600-$1,600 buy-in range, while higher rollers will have options including $10,500 NLH and PLO events, a $5K Seniors High Roller and a $25K NLH High Roller.

Overall, it looks like the WPT is trying to offer something for a wide range of players rather than focusing almost entirely on high rollers.

What do you think of the 2026 WPT World Championship schedule? Would you consider traveling to Las Vegas for the series if you had the bankroll?
