I don't consider myself a cash game player. I prefer tournaments, but I'll mess around with cash games every so often.

However, I find when I do mix it up with cash games. I have more success when I'm aggressive, not over aggressive, but aggressive enough to bully some pots without burning my chips too much. Sometimes it don't work, and you go bust. Learning to get away, when you get caught also helps extend your buy-ins, and adapting when being aggressive don't work.

Thoughts?

While I am not the most aggressive in cash games, I have observed that those aggressive poker players in cash games always intimidate their opponents on the table and put pressure on them. The balance though is to know when to leave, even as a aggressive poker cash player.

Aggression is not a bad strategy in poker, although it should be applied only whenever the opportunity surfaces and you should also know when to give up. An aggressive play may be used to build the pot and intimidate opponents but if done incorrectly, it may be dangerous.
