Card counting is (simple answer) a process where you keep track of low and high cards.

It gives you an advantage play in Blackjack.

Card counting isn't illegal but it's frowned upon by casinos. Most will do whatever they can to stop you, even if that means kicking you out.

If you use equipment to do it, then it becomes fraud (or cheating), and you can be arrested.

How do you all feel about card counting?

I learned something new. I thought card counting was illegal. I personally don't agree with card counting, as it gives an unfair advantage.

I did enjoy the movie 21, which is a movie focused on counting cards playing Blackjack.

It is typically only illegal when devices are used.

Knowing how to count is just being intelligent. There is no crime in that.

But using a device to do it for you is knowingly cheating because something else is being used.

Most casinos will cut the deck in half, back you off BJ, or ask to see ID. In rare cases, they 86 you. Sometimes, gaming commission might try to intimidate you.
