Do you consider chasing losses as one of the signs of gambling addictions? Personally, i do chase losses and most times it use to favour me in sports betting. One psychologist claimed that one of the signs of gambling addiction is chasing losses! I think he is absolutely wrong because a lot of gamblers use Martingale strategy as a betting system. Probably, chasing losses may be a sign of gambling addiction but not when a gambler choose it as a strategy

I don't think that chasing losses is a sign of gambling addiction. But it is a behavior that is within irresponsible gambling tendencies. There are people that chase gambling losses and get wrecked once in a while. But they can still control their appetite for gambling generally.

Chasing losses is a trap. There is no sugarcoating. I used to believe that strategy thing until one bad night wiped everything off. That Martingale thing can work, but once it fails, that's a big disaster. This is exactly why I stopped using it.

I think chasing losses is one of the signs you are addicted to gambling. If you play to recover your losses, you are not playing for fun and you are basically playing for money. If you play too frequently and if your desire is to recover your losses, you are deeply involved in gambling.
