I have come to notice that majority of gamblers are terrible when it comes to managing of funds! About 70% of gamblers can are not disciplined when it comes to financial management. I think the major reason gamblers lose much money on gambling is simply because of inherent inability to manage fund. Casinos and gambling sites are capitalizing on this deficiency to milk gamblers dry!

Gamblers, yes. Poker players, not really. Winning players are great at bankroll management.

gamblers are gamblers and love chance, winning poker players are taking calculated risks and in control of their destiny more i think. there is a method of madness to poker players risk even if it looks out of control at times. gambling is instant gratification, poker is a longterm grind to me

This is so true! Most gamblers believe that money grow on the trees. They pursue losses in an undisciplined manner and they mistake luck as skill. They almost forget that gambling is set up in such a way that the house is always supposed to win.

If gamblers should make use of their thinking faculty, most gaming house will be out of business! Gaming house know that human beings are so greedy that many will fall for their trap once they hear millions of dollars!

Why it seems that gamblers are always bad at money management is the fact that some gambling activities like sports betting thrive on near misses on the part of the gambler. When you narrowly miss out on winning, you want to try again believing that you would win this time. That's why chasing losses is not always advisable in gambling.
