Do you think there is an advantage to late reg?

In our homes games, no. I always join early.

However. I do like joining last minute of late registration, and getting an addon if there's an addon in the game. It's usually a winning game plan for me, and I have a solid short stack game. Depending on how many big blinds you get when you join late. I still like to do that, and I've had a lot of success using that approach for online tourneys.
