Do you think online poker should be legalized?

Online poker has strict laws for example most sites don't allow players worldwide because of licensing, and laws in country's/states. I've been hoping for years that the bigger sites would be able to accept all players without limits.

Do you agree online poker should be legalized? Do you think it'll ever happen?

I can see why they wouldn't gambling addiction is an issue and I don't think the addiction should be made easier.

I thought that online poker was legal, for as long as it was hosted in the Cayman's or something. Though, you need to bypass your country with a VPN...

But, no, I don't think it will ever be globally legal. Every country wants those tax dollars from pots. It would take a lot of worldwide cooperation to make that happen, and you know the US would have the last word with how much they want in taxes.

Yes, it's legalised in some countries. What they have to do is to put down the guidelines to follow to ensure that it is protected and can be done fairly.

Legalization or not, online poker games will continue to be played. It is even more reasonable for government to legalize it and start collecting tax proceeds from online poker sites. Online poker games like other online business is very difficult to regulate and tax them.

In my place, online gambling is banned. Since poker is mostly considered gambling it is also banned. However, there are legally operated casinos where you can play poker.

I don't think online poker should be legalized even if you take a step to do this then you should know it's can't be accepted in all countries some countries will never accept this

A lot of poker sites aren't available in my country because online gambling is strictly prohibited. Even when sites are available, governments block these sites. I believe poker is more than gambling, so it should be legalized as it is a form of entertainment.

As much as I would like to see poker legalised in more countries to allow more players when it comes to online poker sites, gambling is a very real addiction, and I can understand why some countries would be dead set against it.

I know in the UK, we allow it, but they have a lot of advertisements regarding gambling, and to do it safely and not take risks. In most cases, as much as I would like to see more players able to play, it is a good thing that they are not keen on legalising because even with things in place to promote healthy gambling, it does not always mean everyone will listen.

I think online poker should be legalized, but at the same time, there needs to be some restrictions that would prevent underage from joining in.
