Do you think webcam tables would work for online poker?

I remember when 888poker used to have webcam tables for cash games. It actually made me want to play cash games, even though I strongly prefer tournaments. A lot of players ended up blocking their cameras, though, which is probably why the feature was eventually removed.

Do you think webcam tables could work on an online poker site?

When you think about it, it would seem logical to be able to pick up tells that you wouldn’t see normally unfortunately it’s disgusting. Got someone shaving or stuffing their face or some unremarkable things that they do on camera picking their teeth for one was totally appalling.
The only advantage I can reason out is that it a distraction pure and simple.

Webcam poker sounds fun until you remember the kind of internet problem that we are facing here. Imagine you trying to bluff and suddenly the camera freeze all of a sudden. I actually like the live poker because online poker can feel cold and robotic sometimes. And the fact that people are too paranoid now. Privacy issues is everywhere.
