What is your response to players who cheat in an $80 private tournament by playing with multiple accounts?


Why should a player who rebuys or adds on for $5.50 be treated unfairly?
Let's all stay vigilant against cheaters this week to ensure no one is wronged.

The appropriate step is to ban the multiple accounts. It's gonna be a good start to address the issue. Apart from that, there should be more security measures on the site like implementing a stiffer account verification and more.

I generally find that the "bigger" sites are much better and stopping any of this sort of nonsense in it's tracks.

I've never ever multi-accounted on a poker game for cash... that being said, I do play a game online which has a poker table as part of the game and is rife with these multi-accounters... in such situations, and where no "real" harm is being done (it's play money after all!), if you can't beat 'em, join 'em, as the old saying goes!

I agree. I made a suggestion to StockPoker a little while back. I said all accounts should be verified with photo id to play real money games or freerolls. He liked the idea, and suggested it to the weplay network. Maybe they'll implement it in the future. Accounts already need to be verified to cash out.

ive been around a long time and been on both sides of this, ive been playing long enough to remember when multi accounting was being exploited on pokerstars before there was a rule against the TOS they had multiple pros doing the same thing it wasnt looked upon as it is today, same as pre flop charts, we all used to write notes on pen and paper and have ranges written in front of us in a notebook before PT was a thing. is that considered cheating because im keeping notes on you and myself??? the sad truth is there is alot of online cheating. ive always wondered how grind houses full of pros and the best brains in the game are able to live/grind under the same roof while having multiple PCs in the same house running millions of solves? this is how DTO GTOW PAIRRD are all made. these grind houses can produce millions of dollars per month, 10-12 of the best brains watching an FT giving input we could only dream of? all from the same address? you can run sims in real time on your mobile phone or tablet under a different account. YOU ARE BEING CHEATED FROM EVERYWHERE SADLY. STUDY THE GAME AND SEE HOW YOU BEAT THEM. there are still lots of edges in the game just try protect yourself as best you can and learn as much as you can about EVERYTHING. PLAY LIKE YOU ARE BEING CHEATED AT ALL TIMES. i talk of these things as i want everyone to know that its not just deposit and play. you need to be very aware of what is exactly going on with an informed decision. i will help anyone just ask and ill try my best. dont be naive to the fact stay open minded. tech is moving faster than humans we cant keep up really is the way i see it. i havent owned a smartphone EVER or any phone since 2012 im running on pure brainpower and experience and have a different outlook to many ive noticed. dont be a sheep in this spot be the shark and crush... teach yourself

poker has giving me alot over the years pain joy excitement and everything inbetween, if i can help anyone just one understand then i am doing something. just paying it forward in a way so people can avoid the mental gymnastics my brain has done over the years, most would of broken down and given up believe me. i have been cheated plenty before and even had sites reimburse money for being beaten by cheaters in big mtts on more than one site, just reality of our game

OMG sorry for the rant @Airwalker lol, multi accounting in a small private mtt is crazy and you are only cheating your so called "friends" crush them i say. nutted ranges only and GG. cheaters have grinded my gears over the years and ive just woken up full of energy ready to rant ahaha

I was specifically referring to this tournament—the one where almost 80% of the players know each other well and respect one another. The absurd presence of two new accounts in this tournament and their last-minute chip dumping gave me a bad feeling, which, fortunately, didn’t happen again this week.

i realised this after i wrote a novel and read the question properly. but decided to leave anyway. but gut feelings cant be ignored as that is instinct. glad it didnt happen again but as you said, always be vigilant. gl out there

If this happened in any of our home games. I would remove the players from the community immediately, and update the passwords to our games.
