I find I get better results when I play fewer hands, and wait for good opportunities. I don't think you should play fast/aggressive unless you have good hands. I recommending learning about pot control too.

Online poker has helped quite a lot of players to play smarter. For me, I'm more patient and I wait for good hands. I also learn about pot control and it as really improved my game.
