I have read that there are a few websites that pay through checks. However, checks are one of the worst ways to get paid. This is because cashing out the check is a really lengthy procedure, especially if you live in a foreign country. So, have you ever been paid by a check?

I have been paid through e-check from clients and a few sites in the past. However, these days I don't work on sites or individual clients who pay through check. They mainly pay through Paypal, crypto, and sometimes Escrow.

Wait, seriously people are still getting paid by check online? That one sounds like a punishment. I remember one small freelance gig years ago that tried sending me a payment that way and the whole process was so tiring. By the time bank processing and clearance happened, weeks had passed.

Nowadays websites rarely used cheques. However, there was time when cheque was a really popular way of getting paid online. I remember various websites processing cheques to pay users. That was a long time ago.

I know I've had a few. Most of them were those that something physical was sent to them and they paid out via check. In general then, payments have been all online, rather that a paper check.
