How come China become so advanced nation?

There was a time when China was not that advanced at all. It was still a developing country facing a lots of challenges. However, by the passage of time, china not only became a superpower, it is one of the dominating forces on earth as of now. So, what changed China so much?

People always talk about China like magic happened overnight. My brother, it was a serious planning and discipline. I remember one time I wanted to learn coding. So many things frustrated my progress. China invests heavily in infrastructure and education. That's why they are where they are today.

China is a communist country where they have absolute control over people. They don't leave rooms for dissidents or even complains. This attitude had pushed the people to the "worker" status and they worked really hard to be where they are now.
