It's not really easy to be a poker player. You would go to work, probably close by 6:00pm and then, you still want to study hands, spend time with family and grind with poker. You could be reviewing hands late in the night while everybody is sleeping. That is very tiring honestly, but the love of the game would keep you going.

If you are playing as a hobby and you already have a 9-5 job, I do not think your job will stop you from playing. You can always play in the evening or weekend. However, if you wan to play professionally and when you already have a job, it might be difficult for you to explore than option.

It is possible to balance playing poker as a hobby and handling your daily job. All it requires is picking a time later in the day when you can play the game as long as it doesn't affect your input at work.

If you are playing as a hobby you can just play in your free time, if you want to play seriously and perhaps as a profession, you need to dedicate a lot of time. I am hobbyist
