I usually turn to video games or music when I start getting frustrated with poker. If that doesn’t help, I might have a drink, usually a few beers or smoke some weed.

Sometimes working on PCF helps too, even though I’m still engaging in poker discussions or starting new ones.

What works for you to keep your mind off poker when you start feeling frustrated?

When I go through a downswing, I step away from sessions, focus on other activities, and avoid reviewing hands while emotional. I lower stakes if needed and remind myself that variance is normal, so I don’t let short-term losses affect my decisions.

Yes, run bad can frustrate you to any length. Sometimes I just switched off everything and take a break. I used to force myself to keep playing and it was a big mistake. Now once I notice that my head is not pretty settled, I shift to music or even a game. Funny enough, when you come back fresh, you would see things clearer.
