If you play tight and pick the right moments to be very aggressive, it can really work against players who bet too much.
You also have to play the player, and over aggressive players are easy to expose with a strong hand, even if you get unlucky. I'll take being a dominating favorite in an all-in situation any day.
Another strategy is playing opponents according to their behavioral patterns especially when they show aggressive tendencies. The aggression might make them to play weak hands too strongly which gives you a clear chance to trap them.
