There are many poker website being advertised for players to make use of for their gambling especially for those who are playing online.

If you come across a new poker website, how do you find out if such a poker site is secure and can be trusted?

I do not know because I never tried a new poker site and will it be very hard to play games if it’s new

First you will just want to make sure https is in the website url, after that I would look for anything that makes it official or see if there are people reviewing it on other sites.

Yeh some sites you can use html or some of them you can download apps as well

Asking communities like this one is good way to find out if a poker site is legit or not. I've also listed sites on America Poker Bonus that are trusted, and pay out.

You need to look for the padlock by the domain up top. That ensures it's encrypted and protected. It's call SSL and TLS and it's just a padlock. If they don't have it then it would be unlikely. Most sites have it.

Yes that correct I know what you mean about the padlock

I totally agreed with you on this. Forums like PCF can give you real time reviews. I will not deposit my funds on any poker site without going through reviews from poker forums. Leverage other pokers experience and you will be ok.

One of the ways to verify that a poker platform is safe is to locate locate their license on reputable authority like UKGC. Also, look at the SSL encryption and look at the player reviews on the forums like PCF.

I always check if they're licensed and regulated by reputable authorities like Malta or the UK. I read reviews on poker forums and see what other players say about withdrawals. I also look for SSL encryption on their site and test their customer support responsiveness.

Look for licensing info in the footer, if it's missing or vague, run. Then test their live chat with basic questions. Slow or weird answers? Red flag. Also search the site name plus "scam" or "complaint." Real players usually leave a trail if something's wrong.
