The former CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, said on his Twitter handle that one can't hold mainstream crypto like Bitcoin, ETH, BNB, Sol, BCH and other top crypto for four years and lose money holding them. How true is that?

Although there is indeed a likelihood of making a good positive returns by staying with a top 20 token in a period of four years, but it is important to consider the volatility of the market, as well as the performance of the particular coin you want to hold and you should know that its future performance cannot be based on its previous performance.

I think there is no element of truth in the statement. There is no data or facts that proofs that is 100% realistic. There a lot of coins that have died a natural death. Therefore, it is no a realistic investment strategy! Though with the look of things in cryptocurrency, there is likelihood that cryptocurrency is going mainstream soon. Therefore, many coins will appreciate!

I believe it is just the mindset of the bull run thing that has made him make such a statement. Historically, a lot of those who didn't sell these top 20 coins are now having incredible profits on those coins and that's a fact to note.

If you invest in top performing assets, you can never lose your money as long as you are holding your assets. Even when the value goes down, as long as you are holding, you can still profit when the market goes into bull run.
