On several home game occasions, i have acted as a poker dealer and player simultaneously. When am playing with my elders, i consider it as a sign of respect to be the poker dealer and a player at the same time.
Have you acted as a poker dealer and a player simultaneously in a home game?

In the US at least, it is 100% standard for players to take turns dealing in home games, and yes they will deal themselves into the hand as well.

Yeah, I've dealt with it in home games before, and it's pretty common for the dealer to play in the hand. I mean, everyone agrees on the rules, and it's a friendly game, so it works in well.

The fact that with most home games different players deal the cards and it's unusual to have a dedicated dealer unless it's some buy-in type tournament. Most people take turns dealing and playing too.

Yes of course.
