I won’t lie to you, privacy has almost died if we’re being honest. Every app wants to collect one permission or the other, even the games that you just want to play just to relax will ask for your contacts.

Yes, privacy is dead in the age of internet. recently, I visited my kid's school. I never searched for the school on the internet, however, the very next day I started seeing my kid's principal in my suggest friend list and the ad for the school also started appearing on my feed. These days they are even tracking your location and displaying ads based on where you are and who you meet in real life.

In a tech world where data is the currency that is used to pay for tech products, we don't have any option than to surrender privacy. Algorithms are aggressively collecting data if users to predict what they would do next.

Well it is only what I put out that others will know. Except for the fact that accounts can be hacked into, there is little about me that I can post on the internet for others to see.

If we are going to keep having that frictionless living where there are maps to guide your navigation, personalized shopping and smart homes, you would have to keep giving internet companies your data. They need it to keep serving you.

I don’t think privacy is dead, but it’s definitely harder to protect now. I see it as something people have to actively manage through smarter choices, better tools, and awareness of how much data platforms collect.

Privacy is not dead in the modern internet age that we are in now. Just that it has been weakened quite significantly. Internet platforms are constantly collecting the data of users and utilising them in ways that the users have no control over.

I don't think privacy is dead, i just feel most people of this generation simply do not understand the importance of privacy today. They tend to expose everything online simply because they want to trend.
