MMA’s ceiling is more than that of boxing now no doubt. Boxing still have that history which MMA don't have. Their actions are very unpredictable. Boxing sometimes could turn into a 12 rounds of careful dancing🤣. You would be checking the time every now and then. MMA does not waste time like that. But money wise, boxing is still ahead.

This is because UFC benefits from frequency and stacked cards. Normally, they have about 40+ events a year with strong prelims and main fight cards. Also, their deal with ESPN/CBS pushes their viewership a lot more higher. This year already, the UFC have managed about 2.65 million viewers on all their fight cards.

If you look into the stats, boxing has a larger global viewership and significantly higher revenues for mega-events as compared to MMA. Boxing holds the records for the highest-grossing pay-per-view buys of all time. It generated 4.6 million purchases during Mayweather vs. Pacquiao match.

No one is arguing about boxing being better when it comes to generating more money and even playing boxers better than what MMA have to offer. But we are talking about ceiling which is about viewership across the globe.

I didn't just talk about which game makes more money, I was also talking about which game has more viewership. Data shows, boxing has bigger viewership globally. But I do agree that MMA has consistent viewership for regular, week to week events.

Yeah, that's very correct. I hope you're looking forward to the White House card that's going happen in 10 days time. Gayne vs Alex Pereira, who do you think is going to win?
