General Strategy Start Early or Late Registration

Which do you prefer?

If it's a bigger tournament. I prefer to join early while the levels are still low, so I can chip up, and collect dead money. However, I do like joining late in a lot of micros online, because it has proven to be a winning formula for me. I also believe I have a strong short stack game, but the format of the tourneys also factors in whether or not I'll join late.
