Yes! Boxing, tennis and soccer are very susceptible to match fixing based on my experience. To combat it, the governing bodies and authorities should stay vigilant and crackdown on corrupt practices in these sports.
In the past, fixed matches were very predominant and it often involved players, referees and other officials that had the power to manipulate the game but now it less prevalent due to strict monitoring.
It doesn't happen that much in major soccer leagues based in Europe. I know of a league that a team needed to win their match by 13 goals to escape relegation. And they actually won by exactly 13 goals. It is very clear that the other team took some incentives to fix the match.
I have seen a lot of controversial refereeing decisions in major matches and leagues and it kind of raises eyebrows on march fixing. I think match fixing cannot be totally educated in sports.Fixed match is real and it is becoming very ugly. Now, most sports bodies are fighting it with corroboration from gambling companies. Fixed matches give bettors a little advantage over bookmarkers!
But the problem is that you can hardly know which match is fixed! It is top secret of club management, coaches and players!
Yeah! Some big dudes are making a killing from our collective stupidity.
