What's the best advice you've ever received?

I was complaining to an older guy one evening about money and stress. He just told me “don’t rush life, but don’t sleep on it either.” It sounded simple, but it stuck with me. Since then, I try not to panic when things are slow, but I also push myself every day. That advice balanced everything.

I think it is to be myself at all times. I should not allowed anyone to influence me negatively or gets easily intimidated.

Another advice that stick with me is from my boss. He said "if you are doing something, do it well or don't do it at all." That pushes me to give my best even when I don't feel like it.
