So when you are sitting at the table deciding whether to call a bet how do you actually think about pot odds and expected value?

Like do you do quick mental math on the spot or is it more intuitive after playing a lot? And how does that change depending on whether you're early position versus late position?
 
I don't calculate everything perfectly in my head anymore. After having enough sessions, plenty of decisions start feeling familiar to me. The maths still matters but experience helps you recognize the patterns faster.
