This one is risky, before fans come for me.🤣 But honestly, I think some athletes get hyped more by media than their performance. I remember watching games and wondering why one person gets all the praise when the whole team worked for the trophy. But hype is part of sports business now. Popularity sells jerseys, not just the skill.

There was a time when Babar Azam was a really great cricketer and athlete. However, as of now, I must say that he is overrated. He is not a proper t20 batman, but still he is in the team.

To be honest, the hype sometimes exceeds their performances. Social media just amplifies everything. I wont mention name before fans attack me 😂 but branding plays huge role now. You can be an average athlete and still trend every week.

Well, if these overrated athletes do perform well sometimes, then you will find tons of videos and shorts of these athletes when it comes to that particular performance. This is why it may seem over hyped.
