Cash/Ring games are pretty straight forward depending on table size. Play ABC poker, positional play and expect about 1 hand per hour in a live session. Do not play it like a freeroll or sng or multi table tourny.
Patience and timed aggression. And as the the great "Mad" Mike Carro observed, "If a hand is good enough to call, it's good enough to raise.

Oh, that's a nice thought. I was too frustrated, coming from tournament freerolls, under impression that I should donk many hands.

I usually always play like a donkey when I join freerolls, but I find whenever I switch from tourneys from cash games. If I play generally solid, and don't chase with weak hands. I usually do pretty well, there's a lot of bad players at micro stakes.

That's solid advice, especially that Mike Caro quote about raising versus calling - really makes you think about why you're in the hand. Playing patient and waiting for good spots is way smarter than getting involved in marginal situations.

Instead of calling too much in cash games, I would rather make it a raise and be in charge of the pot, and that is actually dependant on if I feel very convinced that my hand is strong enough to continue. I have learned by experience that calling too much in cash games is where players burn money.

I love playing live cash games but there's a world of difference between live and online cash game strategy
