I’ve decided to discontinue the PCF leaderboard on StockPoker starting in August.
If the WePlay network introduces a built-in leaderboard module in the future, I’d be happy to bring it back. However, I can no longer commit to updating the leaderboard manually, it simply takes up too much time.
I want to be clear that I will continue to support StockPoker. I truly appreciate everything StockPoker has done for me, and it has not gone unnoticed. I’ll also be discussing a few changes to our schedule, including the possibility of earlier start times for some games.
That said, I also need to do what I believe is best for Poker.community. I’ve been developing a browser-based poker site that will become an extension of PCF. Existing Poker.community members will be able to log in using their current forum accounts, so there will be no need to create a separate account to play.
I’ll also be launching a new poker network. If StockPoker is interested, I’d be happy to have them join us. This would allow PCF and StockPoker to share player pools while still giving StockPoker the option to host exclusive games for its own community. By joining the network, StockPoker would also regain access to the backend, making it easy to create and manage tournaments (that functionality is already coded).
Here are a few early previews. Please keep in mind that the design is still a work in progress, and many more features will be added before launch, including a fully automated leaderboard.
My target launch is September. If everything stays on schedule, I’m hoping to begin testing with @mischievous, @Airwalker, and @PennyWorth next weekend. I’m excited to share more as development progresses.
