When it comes to Poker, it is important to understand how to read the betting patterns of rivals. One of the ways to do this is to know their betting tendacies in different positions and situations. What are the other ways to do this?

I'd say pretty often not trying to brag. I wouldn't call them "rivals" though, more like lunch. 🍲😋

Jokes aside, you can pick up on other players betting patterns looking for how often they play hands, and what hands they play.
New players usually over bet, instead of trying to extract value with strong hands.

I'm playing online so most of my reads are either bet sizing or timing tells. They can both vary greatly.

Truth be told, it will be pretty hard to read the betting pattern of a player who is experienced. But I guess it takes one experience player to read another.

In live games it's a little easier, even if they are very skilled. Sometimes the body betrays us.

Okay, so no matter what the signs will still be there? I should try to be on the lookout more.
Not always. It's hard to train your pulse tough/ raining your pulse, mouth and fet all at once, there are people capable but it's a real challenge.

To read betting patterns, what I do is to observe the following:

- Aggression levels
- Bet sizing consistency and lastly
- I study the body language

Life is like a game of poker: it is not about what cards you are dealt, but how you play them.
