What online poker rooms do you refuse to play? Why won't you play on those sites?

I won't play on any poker clubs. I've heard too much negativity. I decided it's best to stay away, and only play actual sites. I also refuse to play ACR Poker. I have a history with ACR which makes me hate them... a lot. There's also been recent news stories on ACR Poker that doesn't look good. I think everyone should steer away from ACR.

I also will not play on ACR. I do have an account there, but stopped playing a few years back. I hear they have a lot of bots (not sure if that is true or not).

I've found that America's Cardroom can be quite draining over extended periods of play. In particular, the late registration seems to take a toll after a while. Additionally, after a few hours in the multi-table tournaments (MTTs), it feels like you're up against bots. This is one of the reasons I stopped playing on the site.

Their sportsbook also leaves much to be desired and is in dire need of an update. While it's true that the traffic is decent for getting into games and the player-to-player transfers are a plus, the negatives far outweigh any positives. In my opinion, it's a waste of playing time.

The only redeeming factor was the staking, which initially made ACR my top choice. However, even that couldn't offset the numerous issues I encountered.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

BetMGM Poker Unfortunately, my experience with BetMGM Poker in Michigan has been far from satisfactory. Despite the addition of other states, the site remains unplayable for me. The poker platform feels outdated and lacks the smooth functionality that players expect

I’ve also heard this. There’s been a lot of rumors over the years, especially with users using third party bots.

ACR claims they actively detect and ban bots whenever possible. They’ve made public statements in the past about banning accounts tied to botting rings, and they’ve even refunded money to players who were impacted by bot activity. However, some players feel ACR’s anti-bot measures aren’t as strong as they could be, especially compared to larger, more regulated sites like PokerStars.

I never tried BetMGM. I believe they have a Ontario only version, and I prefer play against everyone not just players in the same province as me.

I find that to be a common theme with a lot of poker sites, the platform/software is outdated. Especially on Poker Mavens sites.

ACR Poker's reputation is trash! Recent news stories and personal experiences have solidified my decision to steer clear. I only play on reputable sites with solid security and customer support.

I have avoided certain sites because of bad user experience, security issues, or reputation. Research and reviews will help expose trustworthy platforms.
