AI does take a few human errors out of contention, but there are still other situations where human judgment becomes paramount. for instance, there are some rules that even AI cannot comprehend them. By all means, AI can help human referees reach a more accurate decision. Do you think that AI will ever replace referees?

AI can replace human referees and do more perfect job than humans. But in sports, imperfections is equally part of the game. If the referee is near 100% accurate, the game will be dull and unexciting. For instance, VAR have improved game of football but sometimes makes the game dull and waste quality time.

AI can assist the referee in making very good decisions, but human interpretation will still be necessary in many areas. We can blend AI with human judgment so that the decisions are guaranteed to be more accurate but still we need to preserve the natural atmosphere of the game.
