I believe poker is a kind of gambling, I cannot get involved with gambling as a way to make money, I cannot take it as a profession. I can play for fun and entertainment but not as a profession. What about you, can you play poker as a profession? Can you generate stable income as a poker player?

I play good enough to win more than I lose. I do believe I'm skilled enough to play professionally, but I'm not at that stage in my life.

I'm not sure if I'd ever want to rely on playing poker to pay my bills. It would create a lot of stress for myself. I prefer to play a more relaxed game, and I enjoy my wins more when I don't have any added pressure.

It’s very possible to become a professional poker player. I can categorise poker as a skill-based profession. I still believe that with dedication and the right strategy, it's very possible to generate a stable income from it. Because I've seen players make a living playing poker for years.

Yes, always want to be a professional player but I need more than a skill to become a poker professional. I need the spirit of entrepreneurship as well and of course some level of luck. Poker is definitely not for everyone but for those who are willing to invest time and energy, poker can offer financial freedom.

I cannot be a professional poker player because I choose not to pursue that path. Poker is a form of gambling, and I am aware of my tendencies. At times, I can become obsessed with some things, and if I were to develop an addiction to poker, it could lead to negative consequences. Instead, I prefer to work online to earn money. Hehe

Such a decision demonstrates a great self-awareness and maturity. It is vital to identify addiction possibilities which become important while playing poker or any other addictive game. Taking steps to protect yourself is very crucial.

Nah I don't think I could ever become a professional poker player. I'm afraid I might get too far into gambling and end up losing more money than earning.

You make sense to me although I maintain a different position from you. In short, I am currently watching a lot of YouTube channels just to improve my skills in poker. I have seen a lot of professional poker players succeed. I don't see poker as an entirely a gambling activity because it requires your skills too.

Yes, totally on the same page with you. Poker has luck in it, something you can't deny but skill and strategy are what would matter a lot in a long term. Just put some time and practice into it and continuous learning is what it takes to become a pro poker player.

Playing pro would be risky because the house is supposed to win all the time. In other words, security would be all over you.

Well, I guess the way around that is to avoid seeming too successful.

Well, I don't think so because the professional poker players possess lots of discipline, skills, and emotional control. Although some of these players can keep generating steady sums of money through poker, there is an immense amount of pressure and stress attached to such because of dependency on their winnings.

I think some guys are playing poker for a living especially online. Some of the professional gamblers also engage in some illegality like having mutiple account and siphoning free bonuses!

I know I still have a long way to become a pro poker player. The aim is that one day I would be pro enough to win 80% of the poker games that I play. I might not go into poker full time but I want to be very good at poker.

The knowledge I have currently on how to play poker isn't enough to consider myself an elite professional player. I might get there one day but right now, I'm not on that level.

It's very much possible for me to become a professional poker player if I should set my mind to it because the human mind is capable of anything with the right motivation.

Becoming a professional poker player would mean focusing fully on what it takes. It is never easy, but just like you mentioned, it is possible as long as you set your mind to achieving that.

I won't mind doing that once I am mentally ready. There are a lot of professional poker players that I follow and the good thing is that those guys are making lots of money from playing this game.

No because I don't play poker but I think becoming a professional is definitely possible for dedicated players. It takes serious skill, discipline, bankroll management, and emotional control. You'd need to consistently win over long periods and treat it like a real business. It's not for everyone though.

To get more women involved in poker, I think Queens should be ranked higher than Kings.
