I think one of the best ways to avoid getting angry or frustrated after losing a big pot is by practicing solid bankroll management. Losses don’t sting nearly as much when they only represent a small portion of your bankroll.

Thoughts? How do you keep yourself from getting tilted or angry after losing a big hand?

Losing big pots can certainly make you angry, however, if you learn how to minimize your losses, and keep out of the game when you are on losing streak (so that you don't lose more), it can help you. Getting angry is common, but you can tame your anger.

Controlling your anger after big loss is a real skill. That one bad beat can spoil your whole session if you don't calm down. That’s how I lost one big pot then tried chasing it immediately, it ended worse.

After losing a big pot, step away for a few minutes and clear your head. Focus on whether your decision was correct, not just the result. Losses happen even with good play. Staying calm protects your judgment and stops one bad hand becoming several.
