My tip for new players is to play tight, and go with the flow. Try to develop good habits with bankroll management..etc.

What's the best advice for new players trying to be a winning player in tournaments?

Patience is your currency in tournaments. I see new grinders chasing every hand. It is very necessary to structure your bankroll first. In this economy where bills is stacking like chips, you can't afford reckless entries.

Also, it's easily to get discouraged if you're new to poker, and looking at a big field in a tournament. Grind it out, and battle. Never give up.

Having it at the back of your mind that every successful player began with a couple of mistakes can help one push to become better. So, that is why giving up should never cross the mind of a new player who truly wants to succeed in poker. He or she should keep pushing because success is on the way.

I still misplay hands, it happens, and it’s part of poker. Being able to recognize when you’ve made a mistake and work on fixing those leaks is an important skill to develop. I’m always trying to learn and improve when I play. I’ve played over a million hands online, and that never changes. There’s always something new to learn and ways to get better.
